Ward 4 Neighborhood Blood Drive
We have set up a Ward 4 neighborhood blood drive from 11 AM to 5 PM on March 31 at Shepherd Park Christian Church, 7900 Eastern Avenue NW Registration instructions are below. Each donor will receive a $20 Amazon gift card.
Everyone age 16 and older is encouraged to join!
The Red Cross is facing the worst blood shortage in over a decade and Black donors are especially needed. Sickle Cell Anemia sufferers require regular transfusions, and Black donors have the highest chance of providing blood with the most compatible antigens. That said, we want everyone to give. Right now there are just 38 slots, so sign up soon! If we have high demand, Red Cross can set up additional stations.

You’ll need to be in good health with no fever and weigh more than 110 pounds. Other eligibility details are linked at the bottom of the Red Cross site (international travelers should read the list carefully). Note that the PowerRed donations take longer and require increased weight to support the double donation.
