AQUATICS DIVISION
Summer Aquatics staff will have the opportunity to be pool managers, assistant pool managers, lifeguards, customer service representatives (CSR’s) and more.
Lifeguard
Trained lifeguard and safety protocol enforcement for DPR outdoor and Indoor pools. Get training and certification on us! Suitability and background check required.
Aquatics Operations
Managing the daily upkeep, pool chemistry, and ensuring swimmer safety to keep DPR pools and spray pads safe and open.
Aqua Day Camp Counselor or Facilitator
A customer service representative (CSR) provides front line service to guests and staff. Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel and the public to ensure a world class experience.
COMMUNITY RECREATION DIVISION
Evening Programming Team – Program Specialist
Recreation staffer assisting with on site program development for youth and teens during summer evenings.
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION
Evening Programming Team – Program Specialist
Recreation staffer assisting with on site implementation of environmental programs.
OPERATIONS DIVISION
Warehouse Assistance
DPR Support Services staffer assisting in inventory management, event logistics, and transportation.
ROVING LEADERS DIVISION
Roving Leaders Camp – Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator
Instructing campers ages 3-12 who are enrolled in Roving Leaders programming in fun activities that foster growth and social development.
SUMMER CAMPS DIVISION
Discovery Camp – Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator
Instructing campers ages 6-10 in theme-based curriculum, arts and crafts activities, and structured games and sports.
Little Explorers – Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator
Instructing campers ages 3 – 5 in theme-based curriculum, arts and crafts activities, and structured games and sports.
Sports Camp – Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator
Instructing campers ages 8-13 in a variety of activities that will encourage and support movement, encourage personal growth, and develop sport-specific skills.
Therapeutic Recreation Camp – Facilitator & Assistant Facilitator
Instructing campers with disabilities ages 5-16 in fun, engaging, and adaptive programming.
Summer Camp Office Assistant
Assist the summer camp office in administrative duties required to properly manage our citywide camp offerings.
Summer Camp Program Monitor
Program Monitors observe summer programming to ensure program quality markers are met. Provide feedback via various reporting methods.
SUMMER MEALS DIVISION
Food Monitor/Food Safety
Food service and distribution professional who will assist in DPR’s efforts to provide free meals for DC residents under the age of 18 all summer long.
TEENS DIVISION
Content Specialist
Mentor and content coordinator with a focus on administering Teens programming for participants in the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program. (MBSYEP)
Payroll Clerk
Point of sale representative and administrative support for MBSYEP program.
