Thank You for Helping Us Determine What Public Amenities are Needed in Our Community
Survey results from the development planning initiative for the greenspace located at the SW corner of the intersection of Riggs Road and South Dakota Avenue (next to the Food and Friends facility).
For years, the Lamond-Riggs Citizens Association has been working to ensure that public amenities such as parks are part of the building projects in our neighborhood. We are surveying the community regarding the unused DC-owned greenspace at the southwest corner of the intersection of Riggs Road and South Dakota Avenue, NE, near Food and Friends.
Greenspace located at the SW corner of the intersection of Riggs Road and South Dakota Avenue
As per LRCA and DC’s plans for our neighborhood, we want that land to remain public, open greenspace; that is, no buildings. This survey allowed us to gather your suggestions for improving that land to become a DC-owned public, open, community park.
We thank everyone who participated in this survey and are pleased to present the results from this survey below.
